2019 Engaged Cities Award Review Committee

Andrea co-leads the Bloomberg Philanthropies Government Innovation grant programs, which help local leaders and their teams in more than 200 cities globally to better solve problems and share promising ideas to improve life for residents. Previously Andrea served as CEO of the Office of Innovation at the New York City Department of Education, and prior to this led the International Practice at the Young Foundation, a London-based center for social innovation. Andrea started her career as a classroom teacher with Teach for America and received a master’s in Education from Columbia University Teachers College. She is based in London.
